Wanted: Partners to Collaborate With

Connecticut Turning to Youth and Families is looking for others to partner with so we can together help youth and families to prosper by strengthening Connecticut's prevention, treatment and recovery capital. Partners with a coordinated and collaborative approach to serving youth and families, who believe that no one provider, agency or family advocacy groups can deliver all the required services are essential. Must be willing to work together and to share resources. Multicultural diversity and varied expertise a real strength we need, we are willing to grow and enhance our present outlook, recognizing we have a lot to learn. Willing to overcome our philosophical differences, to build lasting relationships with group with recovery values and principles. We are reaching out to groups with whom we have not worked before to form Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).

Immediately we need partners to help us with:

  • Space (support groups, training space)
  • Printing, copying facilities
  • Storage
  • Volunteers
  • Paying for refreshments for family and youth training and support groups
  • Stipends for gas for youth and family volunteers
  • Collaborating on grant proposals
  • Postage
  • Videos
  • Photography
  • Lap Top Computers
  • LCD Projector and Screen
  • Technical writing for our newsletter and website
  • Funds for multimedia productions

In return we will give whatever we can, just ask.

Current Collaborating Partners:

These are organizations that we have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with. CTYF forms formal partnership agreements with other organizations that define the relationship, and responsibilities within the agreement.

CCAR: The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) envisions a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced. CCAR is currently the fiduciary for CT Turning to Youth and Families as they are in the application phase of becoming a non profit 501c3.

CAN: The Connecticut Assets Network (CAN) is a private, nonprofit organization promoting strength-based and resiliency building strategies for positive youth and community development. CAN receives funding from the Connecticut State Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) to provide services to state funded organizations in local communities. Connecticut Assets Network envisions people living in caring communities, where everyone is a respected resource who can make a difference. The mission of the Connecticut Assets Network is to help communities build their capacity for mutually beneficial problem-solving by helping them discover and share the strengths and assets of all their members.
